Frequently Asked Questions
©2008 StreamingMinistries.tv mailto:support@streamingministry.tv?subject=support

1.    What are the hidden charges for the two month free trial

There are no hidden charges for the trial period. You send us a DV tape, DVD or high quality VHS/SVHS tape and we will create a basic streaming media and information webpage for you.  We are confident that you will be pleased with our service after four months, and choose to sign up with StreamingMinistry.tv. If you choose not to sign up, your will page will expire and go offline.

2.  Isn’t StreamingMinistry.tv just like Streamingfaith.com™?

No, Streamingfaith.com is more of an online television station that features a schedule of ministry webcasts. What we offer is media streaming and other web-based services for your ministry. When we create a webpage for you, it will not show other ministries. Our goal is to help you connect with your supporters, offer your products and reach people for Christ.

3.  Why can't I just use YouTube™ or a similar free service?

Certainly, you can use YouTube™. But there are two major downsides to consider: 1) YouTube™only allows 10 minutes of video. 2) Your audience is exposed to everything else on YouTube. Your video may gain a wide exposure on YouTube™, which is desirable from an evangelistic perspective. If you want to keep your audience focused on your content, avoid YouTube.  As a value added service, we will post your videos to YouTube™, if you desire.

4.  What kind of computer do I have to use, Windows or Macintosh?

Our streaming products can be viewed on any Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Macintosh computer running a newer version of Internet Explorer, Safari, or FireFox web browsers (FireFox is recommended). You should avoid services and products that do not support Apple Macintosh. Although Macintosh has a smaller market share than Windows, Mac users tend to be progressive, young and tech-savvy.  Windows-only solutions close the door to reaching millions of Mac users. StreamingMinistry.tv fully supports all platforms.

5.  How do I send a DVD or DV Tape?

You can mail a DVD or DV Tape using First Class mail for about $2.00 and only takes a couple of days to arrive. As a convenience to you, we can also send you a free self-addressed mailer to use for shipping. We also accept certain AVI and Quicktime video files saved to CD or DVD data discs.

6.  Why can't I just upload my video to StreamingMinistry.tv?

Uploading high quality video is not feasible because of the size of the file. An hour of raw video can easily exceed 8 Gigabytes! You might be able to compress it, but if it is not done correctly, the results will look like YouTube video. DVD and DV tape are compressed formats that allow us to produce consistently good results for you.

7.  Do you take VHS tapes?

We can convert VHS tapes if they are master tapes or first generation, recorded at the SP or better speed. There is also a surcharge.

8.  What if I have special project needs?

In addition to our basic media streaming services, we offer full service digital video production and web development. We can provide project bids based on your needs.

9.  How do I pay for services?

For fee payments, we use PayPal, which is a reliable and secure payment service. You can use your Visa, MasterCard and Discover cards. We also accept payment by personal and business check.
